Legislators Stand for Pennsylvania Health Insurance Freedom

Pennsylvania State Representatives Matthew Baker and Curt Schroder filed House Bills 2053 and 2179 that will protect the rights of individuals to make their own Pennsylvania health insurance decisions.  Pennsylvania joins 31 other states that have introduced legislation for freedom of choice regarding health insurance. This will forbid individuals to be mandated to buy Pennsylvania health insurance in regards to health care reform and ObamaCare.

The Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act has already been filed in 25 states this includes Pennsylvania, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Lawmakers in other states have intentions of doing the same. This includes, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Colorado, and Utah.
