Governor Jennifer Granholm wants to enforce a doctor tax to help balance the budget in Michigan. This idea was introduced and defeated before in the legislature. During that session, the idea was to help fund the Michigan health insurance Medicaid program.
Health care is already expensive and a tax on doctors will increase medical bills for patients and Michigan health insurance carriers.
