Blue Cross Blue Shield South Carolina and Carolinas HealthCare System are trying to resolve an issue of price and reimbursements that has the top physician groups and members in York, Chesterfield and Lancaster counties furious. The dispute has forced thousands of South Carolina health insurance patients to pay more or search for a new provider.
The unresolved dispute made nine practices in these counties out of network for the South Carolina health insurance plan and its members. Patients are caught in the middle with no resolve in the near future. Clinics out of network include:
- Barnett Family Practice (Indian Land and Lancaster)
- Mecklenburg Medical Group (Indian Land)
- Medical Associates of Fort Mill and Medical Associates of Rock Hill
- Pageland Family Medicine
- Palmetto Pediatrics
- Piedmont GYN/OB (Fort Mill and Rock Hill)
- Rock Hill Pediatrics Associates (Fort Mill and Rock Hill)
- Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute (Indian Land, Fort Mill, Rock Hill)
- Shiland Family Medicine (Fort Mill and Rock Hill)
