For residents waiting on the list for Adult Basic Pennsylvania health insurance, premiums are doubling. The 40,000 current participants will be hit with higher out of pocket costs.

Pennsylvania is not the only state facing changes to their program for the poor. Almost all the states that use state funds to assist the poor adults are cutting benefits. This includes stopping enrollment or raising premiums.
