Wisconsin Health Insurance Governor Jim Doyle Unveils BadgerCare Plus Basic

Governor Jim Doyle announced a new self-funded health care plan for adults without dependent children who are on the Wisconsin health insurance waiting list. BadgerCare Plus Basic will provide enrollees with limited access to physicians, hospital services, generic prescriptions and catastrophic coverage, and will be paid for by a monthly premium around $130.

These Wisconsin health insurance plans will be a bridge to keep individuals  in the state healthy. Wisconsin health insurance with full access at the same monthly price is available at EasyToInsureME. 64,000 individuals have enrolled in the Wisconsin health insurance plan, which suspended new enrollments in mid-October due to budget limits. Since that time, more than 20,000 individuals have been put on a waiting list for the program.
