Wisconsin Health Insurance Autism Mandate

Governor Jim Doyle has required Wisconsin health insurance coverage of autism spectrum disorders.

The law went into effect November 1, 2009 for only one year but still has not been made permanent. Mandating autism coverage for Wisconsin health insurance policies allows for a minimum of $50,000 a year for intensive treatment, and $25,000 annually for non-intensive.
